What Our Students Say ...

Andrew

Ixchel was very welcoming and the perfect way to settle into Antigua. Although two weeks is too short, it has been a great introduction to Spanish. I would recommend Ixchel to anyone wanting to learn Spanish, explore Antigua and learn about Guatemalan culture. I can't wait to come back!

Carrie

I had a very good experience at Ixchel Spanish School. My teacher Isabel was excellent! I only attended for 2 weeks, but I learned enough to have simple conversations in Spanish and to ask common questions and to understand the answers. The program was flexible but well organized. I appreciated the focus on grammar and vocabulary.

Online Spanish Courses:

Schedule

We realize that you have many obligations in your daily life and do our best to schedule your online Spanish lessons so they don't interfere with them.

We are flexible and adapt to your requirements!

Online lessons are available anytime between 7:00 am and 9:00 pm Guatemalan time, Monday thru Saturday, year round.

Time in Guatemala

Guatemala is on Central Time (GMT -6:00 hours) year round and does not observe daylight saving time. In the summer, while daylight saving time is in effect in the USA and many other countries, we are two hours behind US east coast time, one hour ahead of west coast time. In the winter, we are one hour behind east coast time and two hours ahead of west coast time.

You Decide How Many Lessons You Take

Our online Spanish courses don't have a rigid timetable. You can take as few or as many lessons per week as you like and you can decide as you go. Whether you want to take it easy and have only a couple of lessons a week or want to study intensively every day, we'll set up the schedule that's right for you!

Taking only a few lessons per week is a good choice if you only want to get a feel of the Spanish language before you decide to invest more time and resources in a more intensive course. Advanced students who are already fairly fluent will also find an hour or two a week very useful to keep practicing and perfect their skills.

More intensive schedules are available for students who want to progress rapidly and have the time to dedicate an hour or two a day to their studies.

Most important: You don't need to plan your entire course at the beginning. We are flexible and planning just a few days ahead is fine with us. This way you can adapt your schedule as your workload changes.

Contact us and we'll discuss how we can tailor your online Spanish course precisely to your needs and requirements!
