Student Comments I've enjoyed studying here very much and learned a lot of Spanish in just over a week. If we come back to Antigua, we hope to study here again. Johan I studied for four weeks at the Ixchel Spanish School in Antigua and rapidly improved my Spanish so I can converse with local people in town and elsewhere. We do not charge a registration fee.
College/university Credits:

The fee for college/university credits is per credit (not per course or per week) and is in addition to the tuition for individual instructions as listed above. The fee covers the registration and course fees of the Universidad Rural de Guatemala as well as your course certificate and its notarization by the Foreign Ministry of Guatemala.

The above prices are per room per week.
No charge for children age 2 or younger when staying in a room with their parents.
Family homestay includes breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday thru Friday, breakfast and lunch on Saturday. The host family does not provide meals on Saturday nights, Sundays and national holidays.
Rooms in the guesthouse come without meals, but you'll have access to a kitchen where you can cook your own meals.

Terms of Payment:
The Ixchel Spanish School does not charge a registration fee. We also do not require a deposit or advance payment. You can pay for your Spanish course and other services when you arrive in Antigua.
We accept US$, travelers checks and Guatemalan Quetzals. We are not equipped to accept credit cards, but there are ATMs in Antigua where you can get Quetzals with international credit cards, and most banks give cash advances too.

One-on-one instructions are by far the fastest and most effective way of learning Spanish.
Our team of competent and experienced teachers will make your Spanish course a success.
Every student has their private room. You are not expected to share your room with strangers.
Our airport pickup service is the easiest, fastest and most comfortable way to get from the airport in Guatemala City to Antigua.
After-class activities, like salsa classes, are available every afternoon. Many activities are free, others cost just a few dollars for transportation and/or entrance fees.
