Unlike other Spanish schools in Antigua Guatemala, we are not content with just providing Spanish courses and family homestays. We offer our students a full range of services to make their stay with us as hassle-free and enjoyable as possible:
Airport Transfer
Our airport pickup service is definitely the fastest, easiest and most comfortable way to get from the airport in Guatemala City to Antigua. We can meet you when you arrive and take you directly to the school or your accommodations in Antigua. Please see our price list for current rates.
Transportation and Tours
Wherever you want to go, we'll make sure you'll get there reliably and comfortably. We can arrange one-way transportation, day trips and weekend tours to just about any place in Guatemala, Central America and southern Mexico for you.
Free Internet Access
Wi-Fi is available throughout the school and you can use it free of charge to go online whenever we're open (8 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday, 8 am to 1 pm Saturday).
We also have two computers here in the school that you can use in case you don't want to bring your laptop.
Bike Rental
Antigua's historic center is quite small and just about everything is within walking distance, but if you'd rather use a bike to be more mobile and explore outlying areas, we can rent you a bike at competitive rates.
Mini Cafeteria for Students and Staff
Mini Cafeteria
We have a small cafeteria in the school that is exclusively for students and the Ixchel staff. The cafeteria is open all day and sells beverages and snacks. There is also a TV with Guatemalan and international channels.
Child Care
If you travel with children that are too young to take Spanish lessons, we can arrange professional child care at reasonable rates for them. We work only with reliable and competent babysitters and your child or children will be in good hands while you are in class and concentrate fully on learning Spanish.
Free Coffee, Tea and Purified Water
Studying Spanish is hard work, but at least you don't need to go thirsty. We provide free coffee, tea and purified water — as much as you can drink.
Free Reception of Letters and Packages
In case you need to have something mailed to you, we'll receive your letter or package and hold it for you until you're able to pick it up.
Our services are not limited to those listed above, however. It is very important to us that our students be comfortable and if there's anything you need, just let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
